David Bashford
Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel
David is responsible for executing Van Gilder’s strategic plan, overseeing day-to-day operations and developing new talent within the firm. David also handles all of the firm’s legal matters.
David has been involved with insurance since 1991. Prior to joining Van Gilder, he was chief operating officer of a privately held boutique insurance firm and, later, president of the insurance subsidiary of a publicly traded financial services company.
