Senior Vice President - Employee Benefits
Brenda Greicar joined Van Gilder in 2011 as senior vice president of employee benefits. Brenda assists her staff with customer forward thinking strategies including evaluating total cost of risk, carrier performance, and consumerism/wellness initiatives. Other responsibilities include client management, product and solutions development, training, financial management and new business development.
Brenda began her career in Employee Benefits in 1986. She has spent the majority of her career working as an Employee Benefits Consultant for two international brokerage firms. Technical expertise includes thorough understanding of alternative funding, consumer driven health plans, program design, international benefits, carrier performance and negotiation, cost projections, contribution calculations, claims analysis, regulatory compliance and contract interpretation.
In addition, Brenda worked four years in a Director position with a National Managed Care Company, managing the sales account management team. Responsibilities included customer retention, troubleshooting system issues, selling ancillary products to existing clients, employee recruitment, training and development.
Prior to coming to Van Gilder, Brenda was a principal and segment leader at Mercer providing strategic direction and oversight for small and middle market employers.
